Title: 8 months ago I moved to LA and knew almost no one. Now I have a thriving community of amazing people. It’s been a lot of work that culminated in a 300-person event last week. This is how I built my community from scratch:

1. Use your internal, established network to branch out to new local connections
   1. Also, I joined some communities like a volleyball club and an entrepreneurs club.
2. started hosting dinners for the people I met.
   1. My goal was to keep meeting people and building relationships.
3. I would ask everyone that I met 2 questions:
   1. Is there anything cool coming up that you think I may like?
   2. Is there anyone awesome that you think I would get along with?

Almost everything good that happens in life, happens on the back of a relationship The most magical moments, the biggest learnings, the most fun, the most emotional support, the times you're in love or when you unlock a new secret of the world, come from communities and friends.
